Jean-Christophe Bieselaar vous propose ce blog dans le but d’encourager les couples interculturels et leurs familles et de leur donner des ressources pour mieux vivre leur couple au quotidien.
Il est actuellement doctorant à King’s College – University of London sous la direction de Dr Philip Barnes en vue de la rédaction d’une thèse sur “La problématique de l’interculturalité au sein du couple dans l’Eglise”. Chargé de cours à l’Institut Protestant de Théologie de Paris, il a été pasteur à Queens Christian Alliance Church à New York pendant 3 ans, un ministère constitué principalement de jeunes couples et familles d’origine chinoise et coréenne. Il a été pasteur à l’Eglise Protestante Evangélique de La Défense entre 2002 et 2012, une église internationale francophone. Il s’implique depuis 2012 à l’Eglise Américaine de Paris (The American Church in Paris) où il développe un service / ministère de préparation au mariage et occasionnellement y célèbre des mariages et des funérailles en tant que pasteur associé. Orateur dans des églises aux Etats-Unis et au Japon, il se met à la disposition des églises et des couples pour les sensibiliser aux joies et défis de l’interculturalité au sein du couple. Il est membre de la Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research (SIETAR France), et membre "Associate" de la Higher Education Academy. Il est aussi membre d’honneur de l’association AMI France-Corée.

This blog is open to intercultural couples, whether married or not, and to everyone who knows someone (relative / friend) in an intercultural relationship. Information and resources will be posted regularly in either French or English. Its author, Jean-Christophe Bieselaar is currently a PhD candidate at King’s College/University of London under the supervision of Dr Philip Barnes. He is writing a thesis on “Developing a Christian Theology for Ministering to Intercultural Couples.” Adjunct faculty at Institut Protestant de Théologie de Paris since 2010, he had been serving as an assistant pastor for three years at Queens Christian Alliance Church, NY, a ministry composed of young Chinese, Filipino, Korean, African American, Hispanic and Asian Indian couples and families, first and second generation along with some “typical American” couples as well. He has served as the senior pastor at Eglise Protestante Evangélique de La Défense, an international French speaking church located in the business district of Paris from 2002 to 2012. He is currently involved at The American Church in Paris where he is developing a premarital counseling ministry and occasionally serves as a pastor at weddings and funerals. He has been speaking in churches in the U.S and in Japan and is available to speak and minister on the subject of mixed/intercultural marriages. He is an active member of the Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research (SIETAR France) an Associate of The Higher Education Academy and honorary member of association AMI France-Corée (Korea).
